Central Fire Station was opened in 1967, replacing the Mechanic St. Station.
Central currently houses Engine 4, Ladder 1, Ladder 37 (Reserve) Rescues 1 and 3, Squad 1, and the Gator. Central is also home to the Department's administrative offices.
The Central District covers the downtown area of Sanford between Route 4 and the Memorial Gym. It is primarily residential with a downtown business district and a millyard area of former textile mills at it's center clustered around the Mousam River.
Line staffing at Central is 1 Captain (Shift Officer), 3 Firefighters, and 2 Paramedics

SPRINGVALE STATION |

Springvale Station

Springvale Station was opened in 1925. The single story annex was added in 1961. In May 2008 the 47 year old annex was torn down and rebuilt to a larger size, shown above, to accomodate modern fire apparatus.
Springvale currently houses Engine 1, Forestry 1, and the Rescue boat.
Springvale is first due in the area that was originally the Town of Springvale, before its merger with Sanford. The area is primarily residential, with a commercial district in the Springvale Square area.
Staffing is 1 Lieutenant and 1 Firefighter

SOUTH STATION |

South Sanford Station

South Sanford Station was opened in 1989 at the Sanford Regional Airport. It currently houses Engine 3, Engine 6, Rescue 2, and the Smoke Trailer.
South Sanford District encompasses the airport, the industrial park, and is rapidly expanding in residential and commercial occupancies, but a large part of the district is still rural residential.
Staffing is 1 Lieutenant and 1 Firefighter
